Technical features
Among others, the following measures have been taken:
- The language used, the structure of the content and the context information are simple and coherent and easily understandable for people.
- Use of (X)HTML code to create standard documents. Content is marked up with tags, providing context information and allowing the user to differentiate headings, sections, paragraphs, lists, etc.
- The positioning of content is done through the use of CSS cascading style sheets. These style sheets mark up appropriately and allow for the separation of the structure and presentation of the contents. With this procedure it is possible to guarantee compatibility for different browsers and devices, allowing the use of assistive technologies for browsing.
- A legible font size has been used. Texts have been checked for sufficient contrast with respect to background colours. The selected font size and colour tones can be modified with the tools provided by each browser. You can also use our floating accessibility button to adjust text size, fonts and colours.
- Images, except for decorative images, have an alternative description. Images have mandatory alternative text so that an alternative is provided for those who do not access the graphical content.
-
- Functional alternatives for users who have Javascript disabled. Javascript effects, Ajax, etc. do not hide information or block access to those who use browsers that do not support these technologies.
- The abusive use of pop-up windows is avoided.
- The use of motion graphics and flashes is avoided and, in situations where their use is essential, the necessary functionalities are provided to be able to stop the movement.
- The use of colour to give meaning to content is avoided.
- Colour tones previously validated in the text/background colour contrast algorithms for WCAG2 are used.
- Links provide details of the hyperlink destination. Navigation should be easy. The links must be informative and must meet exactly the information users expect.
- A content manager (WordPress) is used to help maintain the accessibility of content over time.
